Jersey photographer: twins and storms at Gorey

Twin babies and storms – this September photoshoot was nothing ordinary!

Jersey photographer: family photoshoot in storm

Gorey is my favourite place for a photoshoot in Jersey when the weather is stormy – the sea seems to glow the most beautiful blues, and the huge skies there make the clouds look deep and dramatic. For the storm-chasing families out there, if we find a break in the weather, these conditions can be stunning for photos.

On the way to this photoshoot torrential rain was drumming down on my windscreen. I began to wonder if we were taking too much of a risk, and whether it would clear. It did. As soon as we arrived at the car park, the rain stopped, the sun even came out for a bit, and we were rewarded with an empty beach and some of the most beautiful colours I have seen on a beach photoshoot in Jersey yet.

At the end of the session we headed to La Rocque to chase the last of the sunset in the high winds, and got plenty of shots of the twins snuggling into their parents.

I hope you enjoy looking through their dramatic and gorgeous gallery, and that it persuades you that you don’t need perfect weather conditions for beautiful photos.
