Jersey photographer: an autumn family photoshoot at Grantez headland

Grantez headland is the most beautiful, wild spot, for a family photoshoot in Jersey. From old windswept pine trees for the kids to climb, to sweeping views across the west coast, to waist high ferns that provide beautiful colour and texture in photos. And best of all, I love the lighting there as it peeps through the dark trees to create atmospheric photos. It’s a great spot for active children, as there are so many things to climb and hide amongst. This location looks gorgeous in all seasons, it’s no wonder it is a firm favourite of mine. And it is only a stone’s throw from the beaches on the west, so can easily be combined with them in your photoshoot.

Emilie and her family booked an autumn photoshoot with me at Grantez. Emilie and I met in a playground with our boys in the summer - she recognised me, we found out we have friends in common, and then I was delighted when she booked a photoshoot with me. She is just the loveliest person and her family braved some storms (and two downpours!) on the day of their photoshoot at Grantez headland to get atmospheric images like this. We’ve since become friends, and I’m so grateful to her and her family for letting me share my work.

I hope you love looking through some of my favourites from their beautiful October session. Autumn colours, lovely woollen clothes, and a little peep of light that shone through the storms that day and made it all look a bit magical. And they’ve already booked in again for next year - whoop!
